You can purchase coconut flour or make your own from unsweetened coconut flakes.

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 4 cups filtered water
  1. Soak the coconut flakes in the water for 4 hours
  2. Blend the mixture in a blender or food processor until smooth
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or use a cheesecloth.  (collect the liquid too)
  4. Dry the coconut pulp in a food dehydrator or bake on a cookie sheet at 200 degrees F until dry
  5. Grind the dried coconut pulp ~ this is coconut flour

*The liquid strained out of the coconut mixture is coconut milk.  Save the coconut milk to drink or for use in recipes.
